Why is my BMW X5 engine making a clicking noise?

I recently purchased a used BMW X5 and noticed that the engine is making a clicking noise. It doesn't seem to affect performance, but I'm worried it could be a sign of a bigger problem. Is this something I should be concerned about? How can I fix it?

The clicking noise is most likely coming from the valve lifters, which can be caused by a lack of oil pressure or worn out parts. It's important to address this issue as soon as possible, as it could lead to more serious engine problems. I recommend taking your BMW to a certified mechanic for an inspection and potential repairs.
