Why does my BMW X5 produce a loud noise during acceleration?

When I press on the gas pedal to accelerate, my BMW X5 makes a loud noise that sounds like it's coming from the engine. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it's quite concerning. What could be causing this noise?

It sounds like your BMW X5 may have a faulty exhaust system. This could be caused by a damaged muffler, exhaust pipe, or catalytic converter. I recommend taking it to a trusted mechanic to have it inspected and repaired.

Another possible cause for the loud noise could be a problem with the engine's belts or pulleys. These components can wear out over time and may need to be replaced. It's best to have a professional diagnose and fix the issue.
