What is the function of the M7's Dynamic Stability Control system?

I am new to driving a BMW M7 and I'm curious about the Dynamic Stability Control system. Can you explain what it does and how it works?

The Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system helps to keep your car stable and on course by monitoring your speed, wheel slip and steering angle. It will automatically apply brake pressure and reduce engine power if it senses an understeer or oversteer situation.

My advice would be to always keep the DSC on, even if you think you are a skilled driver. It's there to help you, especially in emergency situations. And if you do want to turn it off, make sure you have a lot of room to practice and become familiar with your car's handling first.

If you do encounter a slippery road or weather conditions, the DSC system will kick in to help maintain control. So don't be surprised if you feel some vibration in the brake pedal or hear some noises. It's completely normal and the system is just doing its job.
