How do I check the oil level in my BWM 5 series?

I recently purchased a BWM 5 series and I'm not sure how often I should be checking the oil level. Can you provide me with some guidance on how to properly check the oil level in my BWM 5 series?

To check the oil level in your BWM 5 series, start by parking on a level surface and letting the engine run for a few minutes. Then, turn off the engine and wait for a few minutes for the oil to settle. Next, locate the dipstick, which is typically labeled with a bright yellow handle. Pull the dipstick out and wipe it clean with a rag. Insert the dipstick back into the engine and then pull it out again. The oil level should be between the minimum and maximum marks on the dipstick. If the level is low, you can add more oil using the oil filling cap under the hood.
