Why is the oil pressure light on in my BMW M3?

I haven't had any previous issues with the oil pressure, but now the light is constantly on. What could be the problem and how can I fix it?

It could be a faulty oil pressure sensor or a problem with the oil pump. I highly recommend bringing your car to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis and repair. It's important to address this issue as soon as possible to avoid any potential engine damage.

It's possible that your oil level is too low. Check your oil dipstick and add more oil if needed. If the light still does not go off, then it's best to take your car to a mechanic for further inspection.

I had a similar issue with my BMW M3 and it turned out to be a loose or damaged oil cap. Make sure to check that the oil cap is tightly sealed and not damaged. If the light persists, take it to a mechanic.
