Do I need to regularly change the gearbox oil on my BMW M5?

I just bought a used 2016 BMW M5 and I'm wondering if it's necessary to regularly change the gearbox oil. Can it be done as part of routine maintenance or is it only necessary if there are any issues?

Yes, it is important to regularly change the gearbox oil on your BMW M5 as part of routine maintenance. Over time, the oil can break down and become less effective, potentially leading to transmission issues.

If you're unsure about the condition of your gearbox oil, it's always a good idea to have it checked and possibly changed. Better safe than sorry!

A

I highly recommend changing the gearbox oil every 50,000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first. This will ensure optimal performance and longevity of your transmission.
