Why is the range of the BMW i4 lower than expected?

I recently purchased a BMW i4 and noticed that the range is significantly lower than what was advertised. Can anyone explain why this might be?

It is common for electric vehicles to have a lower range than advertised in certain driving conditions. Are you mostly driving in cold weather or using high speeds?

Have you had the battery checked? It could be a faulty battery causing the lower range.
