Why is the BMW M6 engine overheating after being on for long periods of time?

I have noticed that after driving my BMW M6 for extended periods of time, the engine will start to overheat. It has never happened before and I am concerned about potential damage to my engine. What could be causing this issue and what steps can I take to prevent it?

It is possible that there is a problem with your cooling system. Make sure to regularly check your coolant levels and have your radiator and hoses inspected for any leaks or damage.

Another possible issue could be a malfunctioning thermostat. This can cause the engine to overheat as it is not regulating the temperature properly. Have it checked and replaced if necessary.

Make sure to also regularly change your oil and oil filter as dirty oil can cause the engine to run hotter. Also, avoid driving at high speeds for extended periods of time as this can put extra strain on the engine.
