Why is my BMW X5 making a clicking noise?

I recently purchased a BMW X5 and I've noticed a clicking noise coming from the engine. It seems to happen when the car is idle and goes away when I accelerate. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The clicking noise you are hearing is most likely caused by faulty fuel injectors. These are responsible for injecting fuel into the engine and when they are malfunctioning, they can cause a clicking noise. You should take your car to a trusted mechanic to have them replaced.

Another common cause of clicking noises in the BMW X5 is a failing water pump. This could be due to a worn out bearing or a leak in the pump. To prevent engine damage, it is important to have this issue fixed as soon as possible.
