I recently noticed that my BMW X4's steering wheel starts to shake when driving at high speeds on the highway. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it can be quite unsettling. What could be causing this issue and how should I address it?
ReplyHi Alexandra, the shaking of your steering wheel could be due to a few different reasons. The first thing to check is your tire pressure. Make sure all of your tires are properly inflated. If your tire pressure is fine, then the shaking could be caused by an alignment issue or worn out suspension components.
Alexandra, I've had a similar issue with my BMW X4 and it was due to a warped brake rotor. When the rotor is warped, it can cause vibration in the steering wheel. I would suggest having your brakes checked to see if the rotors need to be replaced.
