Why is my BMW M2 making a strange noise when I turn the steering wheel?

I recently noticed a strange noise coming from my BMW M2 when I turn the steering wheel. It almost sounds like a grinding or clicking noise. It's especially noticeable when I make sharp turns. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Hi Hannah, it's possible that the noise is coming from your power steering system. Have you checked your power steering fluid level recently? If it's low, it could cause the system to make strange noises. It's also possible that there could be a problem with the power steering pump or one of the belts. I would recommend bringing it to a BMW dealership or qualified mechanic to have it checked out.

Hi Hannah, I had a similar issue with my BMW M2 and it turned out to be a problem with the steering rack. There was a fault with the internal components, causing it to make strange noises. I had to get it replaced, but luckily it was covered under my warranty. I would suggest taking it to a BMW dealership to have them diagnose the issue.
