Why is my BMW 6 Series making a clicking noise when I turn the key?

I recently bought a used BMW 6 Series and I've noticed that when I turn the key in the ignition, there is a clicking noise. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the car, but it's concerning. Any idea what could be causing this?

The clicking noise could be an indication that your battery is weak and needs to be replaced. I would recommend getting the battery tested at a mechanic to verify if this is the case.

Another possible cause could be an issue with the starter motor or solenoid. It's best to have a professional diagnose and fix any issues with these components.

If the car is still under warranty, you may want to bring it to a BMW dealership to have them take a look. They will have the necessary tools and expertise to diagnose and fix the problem.
