Why is my BMW 4 Series making a grinding noise while braking?

I recently noticed my BMW 4 Series making a strange grinding noise every time I brake. I am worried about the safety of my vehicle and the possible damage it could cause. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

It is possible that your brake pads have worn out and are now grinding against the rotor. This can be a safety issue and should be addressed immediately. I recommend taking your car to a reputable mechanic for an inspection and potential brake pad replacement.

Another possible cause could be debris or dirt stuck in the brake system, causing the grinding noise. Try cleaning the area around the brakes and see if that resolves the issue. If not, it would be best to have a professional take a look.
