Why does my BMW X6 produce a grinding noise when braking?

I recently noticed that my BMW X6 makes a loud grinding noise whenever I apply the brakes. It's quite concerning and I'm not sure what could be causing it. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Maxine, this grinding noise could be due to worn brake pads. It's important to get them replaced as soon as possible to avoid damaging your brake discs. I suggest taking your X6 to a trusted mechanic for a thorough inspection.

Hey Maxine, this could also be a sign of a loose brake caliper. If that's the case, it's important to get it fixed immediately to prevent further damage to your brake system. I recommend taking your X6 to a certified BMW dealership for proper diagnosis and repairs.

Hi Maxine, based on my experience with BMWs, this could be an issue with the brake rotor. It's best to take your X6 to a mechanic who specializes in European cars and can properly diagnose the issue. Don't wait too long to get it checked out!
