I recently purchased a used BMW X5 and have noticed that it makes a high-pitched squealing noise every time I brake. It definitely seems to be coming from the brakes, but I'm not sure what could be causing it. Any ideas?
ReplyIt sounds like your brake pads may be worn down and in need of replacement. This is a common issue with BMW X5s, so it's nothing to worry about. I recommend taking your car to a certified BMW mechanic to have the brake pads replaced.
The squealing noise could be caused by dirty or glazed brake rotors. This can happen if you frequently drive in stop-and-go traffic. I suggest taking your BMW X5 to a mechanic and having the rotors cleaned or replaced if necessary.
Are your brake calipers properly lubricated? If not, they may be causing the squealing noise. I would suggest having them checked and lubricated if needed. Make sure to use high-quality lubricant to prevent any future issues.
