Why does my BMW X3 engine sound louder than usual?

I noticed that my BMW X3's engine sound has become noticeably louder, especially when accelerating. It used to have a smoother and quieter sound. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It is possible that there could be an issue with the exhaust system. I recommend taking your car to a mechanic to have it checked and potentially repaired. I had a similar issue with my own BMW X3 and replacing the exhaust system significantly improved the engine sound.

Another possible cause could be a problem with the spark plugs. If they are worn out or dirty, they can affect the engine sound. I suggest getting them checked and replaced if necessary. This should help improve the overall performance and sound of your BMW X3 engine.
