Why does my BMW 8 Series shake at high speeds?

I recently purchased a pre-owned BMW 8 Series and have noticed that it shakes at higher speeds. The car runs smoothly at lower speeds but the shaking is quite noticeable when I get to speeds above 60mph. Is there something wrong with the car or is this a common issue with BMW 8 Series models?

It is not uncommon for high-performance cars like the BMW 8 Series to experience some shaking at higher speeds. This can be due to various factors such as tire balance, wheel alignment, or suspension components. It is best to get your vehicle checked by a certified mechanic to pinpoint the root cause of the issue.

One of the possible reasons for the shaking could be worn out wheel bearings. If you hear a humming or grinding noise along with the shaking, it is likely that the wheel bearings need to be replaced. It is important to address this issue as soon as possible to prevent further damage to your car.

Another potential cause could be a problem with the driveshaft. If the driveshaft is bent or damaged, it can cause the car to shake at higher speeds. I would recommend getting the driveshaft inspected and replaced if necessary.
