What type of brake pads should I use for my BMW M3?

I recently purchased a BMW M3 and I am wondering what type of brake pads would be the most suitable for this high-performance car? I am debating between ceramic and semi-metallic brake pads, which one would you recommend and why?

Hi John, congratulations on your new BMW M3! Being a high-performance car, it's important to choose the right type of brake pads to ensure optimal performance and safety. In my experience, ceramic brake pads are the best option for the M3 due to their superior heat resistance and durability compared to semi-metallic pads. Additionally, ceramic brake pads also produce less brake dust, keeping your wheels cleaner. I highly recommend checking with your local BMW dealership for their recommended brake pads as well.

Hello John, great question. I've been a BMW M3 owner for several years now and I can confidently say that ceramic brake pads are the way to go. Not only do they last longer, but they also provide consistent brake performance even in high-temperature driving situations. I learned this the hard way after trying semi-metallic pads and experiencing brake fade during track days. Don't make the same mistake, go with ceramic!
