What is the redline RPM for the BMW 4 Series?

I just got my hands on a used BMW 4 Series and I'm wondering what the redline RPM is for this car. I want to make sure I don't push the engine too hard and cause any damage.

The redline RPM for the BMW 4 Series varies depending on the engine model. For the 4-cylinder engine, the redline is around 6,500 RPM while for the 6-cylinder engine it's around 7,000 RPM.

In general, it's best to avoid hitting the redline on a regular basis as it can put unnecessary strain on the engine. Instead, try to shift gears before reaching the redline to prolong the life of your car's engine.

If you're planning on doing some high-performance driving, it's still important to keep an eye on your RPM and not exceed the redline. Going over the redline can result in engine damage, so it's best to drive responsibly.
