What is the purpose of the BMW X8's Active Blind Spot Detection system?

I am considering purchasing a BMW X8, but I am curious about the Active Blind Spot Detection system. Can you explain what it is and if it's worth getting?

The Active Blind Spot Detection system on the BMW X8 uses radar sensors to monitor the blind spot area. It can detect vehicles up to 60 meters away and warns you with an optical and acoustic signal if a vehicle is in your blind spot. It's definitely worth getting for added safety and peace of mind while driving.

As someone who has driven a BMW X8 with the Active Blind Spot Detection system, I can say that it has been extremely helpful in preventing accidents. It's a great addition to the already impressive safety features of the X8.
