What is the difference between the X4 xDrive30i and X4 xDrive30e models?

I am interested in purchasing a BMW X4 but I am confused about the difference between the X4 xDrive30i and X4 xDrive30e models. Can you please clarify?

The X4 xDrive30i is a traditional gasoline-powered model while the X4 xDrive30e is a plug-in hybrid. This means that the xDrive30e has a smaller gas engine and also has an electric motor and battery.
