I am planning to replace the tires on my BMW M5 and I was wondering what is the best tires size to use for optimal performance and grip on both dry and wet surfaces? Any recommendations from fellow BMW M5 owners?
ReplyAccording to BMW, the ideal tire size for the M5 is 275/35 R20 on the front and 285/35 R20 on the rear. However, some M5 owners have had success with larger tire sizes such as 285/30 R20 on the front and 295/30 R20 on the rear for improved handling.
Considering your driving habits and the type of roads you typically use, it might be worth looking into ultra-high performance all-season tires like the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. It offers great grip in dry and wet conditions, as well as decent performance in light snow.
I highly recommend going for dedicated summer performance tires like the Pirelli P Zero if you want maximum performance and grip on dry surfaces. Just be aware that they might not perform as well in wet or cold conditions.
