What causes squeaking brakes on a BMW M4?

I've noticed that my M4's brakes are making a squeaking noise when I come to a stop. Is this something to be concerned about?

Squeaking brakes on a BMW M4 can be caused by a few different factors such as worn brake pads, dirty brake components, or even moisture build-up. It's important to have a mechanic check it out to determine the exact cause and address it.

I've personally experienced this issue with my M4 and it was due to dirty brake components. I would recommend getting them cleaned and see if that solves the squeaking noise before jumping to more expensive solutions.

I've had this issue as well and it turned out to be worn brake pads. My advice would be to have them replaced as soon as possible to prevent any further damage to your brakes.
