What are the benefits of using Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) in the BMW iVision?

I'm considering purchasing a BMW iVision but I'm not sure if the use of CFRP is worth the extra cost. Can someone explain the technical advantages of using this material in this car?
