I recently purchased the BMW i7 and am having trouble with the navigation system. Some of the routes it suggests don't seem to make sense and it's been sending me on detours. Is there a way to optimize the system or should I just stick to using Google Maps?
ReplyHi Eric, I've had a similar experience with the navigation system in my BMW i7. I found that adjusting the settings for shortest/ fastest route helped, as well as regularly updating the map data. You can also try resetting the system by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes, then reconnecting. If the issue persists, I recommend bringing it into the dealership for a software update.

Hi Eric, I've also had some strange route suggestions with the navigation system in my BMW i7. I've found that updating the software, as well as downloading additional map data, has greatly improved its accuracy. It's also worth checking the settings to make sure all of the navigation features are turned on.
