Is the BMW i8's hybrid system efficient?

I am considering buying a BMW i8 for its electric and gasoline hybrid system. Can anyone provide insight on the efficiency of this system and whether it is worth the extra cost?

In my experience, the BMW i8's hybrid system is incredibly efficient. I have noticed a significant decrease in fuel costs and have had no issues with charging the electric battery.

I have been disappointed with the hybrid system in my BMW i8. It is not as energy efficient as I had hoped and I have had to spend a lot of money on maintenance.
