To reset the oil service indicator on your BMW X3, you will need to follow these steps. First, turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine. Then, press and hold the odometer reset button until the service indicator flashes. Release the button and press it again until the words 'Reset?' appear. Press and hold the button again until the word 'Reset' appears in the odometer display. Release the button and the oil service indicator should be reset. If this does not work, you may need to take your car to a BMW dealership for assistance.

Another way to reset the oil service indicator is by using the iDrive system. Go to the 'Service' menu and select 'Vehicle Check'. Then, select 'Service Requirements' and choose 'Reset'. This should reset the oil service indicator on your BMW X3. If you are unsure about the process, you can refer to your owner's manual or consult a certified BMW technician.

If your BMW X3 is equipped with the CBS (Condition Based Service) system, the oil service indicator will be reset automatically after an oil change. However, if you have manually reset the indicator before, you may need to follow the manual reset procedure once again to ensure that it has been reset correctly. In case of any doubts, it is always recommended to seek professional help.
