How to reset the navigation system in BMW XM?

I recently purchased a BMW XM and I'm having trouble with the navigation system. It seems to be frozen and won't respond to any of my inputs. Is there a way to reset it?

Have you tried pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds? This should force a hard reset and hopefully fix the issue.
