How to reset the entertainment system in a BMW XM?

I am having issues with my BMW XM's entertainment system. It won't turn on and I can't seem to find any reset button. How can I reset the entertainment system?

Have you tried turning off the car and restarting it?

You can try disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. This should reset the system.
