How to replace the headlight bulb on a BMW XM?

I recently noticed that one of my headlight bulbs on my BMW XM is not working. I have never had to replace a headlight bulb on my car before and I am not sure where to start. Can someone walk me through the steps on how to replace a headlight bulb on a BMW XM?

First, you will need to pop the hood of your car and locate the back of the headlight assembly. There should be a plastic cover over the back of the headlight that you can twist off.

Once the plastic cover is removed, you should be able to see the headlight bulb. Gently twist the old bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.
