How to change the oil in my BMW 1 Series?

I recently purchased a BMW 1 Series and I want to learn how to change the oil myself. Can someone walk me through the steps and recommend any specific tools or products to use?

Changing the oil in your BMW 1 Series is not as difficult as you might think. Firstly, make sure you have all the necessary tools such as an oil filter wrench, drain pan, and a new oil filter. Next, locate the oil drain plug and place the drain pan underneath. Once the oil has drained, replace the drain plug and remove the old oil filter. Before installing the new filter, be sure to lubricate the gasket with fresh oil. Finally, refill your engine with the recommended oil and check the oil level with the dipstick.
