How often should the oil be changed in a BMW M5?

I recently purchased a used BMW M5 and I'm wondering how often the oil should be changed. I've heard conflicting information, some say every 5,000 miles and others say every 10,000 miles. I want to make sure I'm taking proper care of my car. Can someone give me some advice?
