How do I reset the TPMS on my BMW X1?

I recently changed my tires on my BMW X1 and now the TPMS light is on. How can I reset it without going to the dealership?

You can reset the TPMS by following these steps:
1. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
2. Press and hold the TPMS button located next to the headlight switch for about 10 seconds.
3. Release the button when the TPMS light flashes three times.
4. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 25 mph or more for at least 10 minutes to complete the reset process.
If the light does not turn off after following these steps, it may indicate a more serious issue and you should take your car to a BMW dealership for further inspection.

You can also try disconnecting and reconnecting the car battery to reset the TPMS. Just make sure to disconnect the negative terminal first and reconnect it last. This may take a few minutes, so be patient.

I had the same issue with my BMW X1 and I found that simply adjusting the tire pressure to the recommended levels can sometimes reset the TPMS. Check your owner's manual for the correct tire pressure for your car.
