I recently got an oil change in my BMW X5 and the service light is still on. How do I reset it?
ReplyTo reset the oil service light in your BMW X5, follow these steps: 1. Press and hold the trip odometer button (located on the instrument cluster) until the display shows "Reset". 2. Release the button, then press and hold it again until "Reset" begins to flash. 3. Release the button, then quickly press and hold it again until the display shows "To enter". 4. Release the button, then press and hold it again until the display shows "Reset". 5. Release the button once more, then press and hold it again until the display shows "Reset" again. 6. Release the button and the service light should be reset.
You can also reset the oil service light in your BMW X5 by using the iDrive menu. Go to "Vehicle Info" -> "Vehicle Status" -> "Service Required". From there, you can select the service item and reset the light.
