How do I reset the oil life on my BMW 6 Series?

I recently got an oil change on my BMW 6 Series and the 'change oil' notification is still showing. How do I reset the oil life meter to reflect the new oil change?

You can reset the oil life meter by following these steps: 1) Turn on your car's ignition without starting the engine. 2) Press and hold down the 'reset' button on your dashboard until the service meter display appears. 3) Release the button and press it again until the oil life display appears. 4) Press and hold the button until the display resets to 100%. 5) Release the button and turn off the ignition. Your oil life should now show 100%.

You can also reset the oil life meter using the iDrive system. Navigate to the 'vehicle status' section and select 'vehicle settings'. From there, you can find the option to reset the oil life.

If neither of these options work, it's best to consult your BMW dealership for assistance. They will be able to reset the oil life for you and ensure there are no underlying issues.
