In order to reset the oil change indicator, you will need to follow a specific process. First, make sure your BMW X8 is turned off. Then, press and hold the odometer reset button on the dashboard. While still holding the button, turn the car on without starting the engine. Continue holding the button for about 5 seconds until the display changes. Release the button and you should see the new service interval displayed. Your oil change indicator should now be reset.

To reset the oil change indicator, you can also use the iDrive system. Go to the main menu, then select 'vehicle status'. From there, go to 'service requirements' and select 'reset'. This should reset the oil change indicator for your BMW X8.
