How do I reset the maintenance warning on my BMW X1?

I recently got a maintenance warning on my BMW X1 and I want to know how to reset it without having to take it to the dealership. Is there a way to do it myself?

Hi there Samantha, resetting the maintenance warning on your BMW X1 is actually quite simple. All you need to do is turn on the ignition without starting the engine, then press and hold the odometer reset button until the reset menu appears. From there, you can select the ‘reset service required’ option and confirm the action. This should reset the maintenance warning and you should be good to go. Hope this helps!

Hey Samantha, I had the same issue with my BMW X1 and was able to reset the maintenance warning by following these steps: turn on the ignition, press and hold the odometer reset button until the reset menu appears, use the button to scroll to the ‘reset service required’ option and press the button to confirm. It’s a quick and easy process that will save you a trip to the dealer. Give it a try!

Hey Samantha, I own a BMW repair shop and we often see customers who need to reset their maintenance warning on their X1. It’s a common issue and it’s definitely something you can take care of on your own. Just follow the instructions mentioned by the other answers here and you should be good to go. Let me know if you need any further assistance.
