How do I reset my BMW 6 Series Key Fob?

I accidentally locked my key fob in my BMW 6 Series and now it won't work. How can I reset it?

Have you tried holding down the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob for about 10 seconds? This should reset it and allow you to use it again.
