I have a new BMW X5 and I noticed that the Auto Start-Stop feature is not working. How can I enable this feature?
ReplyFirst, make sure that the Auto Start-Stop feature is enabled in your vehicle's settings. You can do this by going to the iDrive menu and selecting 'Vehicle Settings.' From there, select 'Driving Mode settings' and make sure that 'Auto Start-Stop' is turned on. If it is already turned on, then there may be an issue with the battery level or coolant temperature. It's best to have your vehicle checked by a certified BMW technician if the problem persists.
The Auto Start-Stop feature may not work in certain situations, such as when the outside temperature is below 37 degrees Fahrenheit or above 95 degrees Fahrenheit, or when the battery is below a certain charge level. Keep in mind that the feature is designed to help improve fuel efficiency, so it may not activate if the battery needs to be recharged. If you are still unsure, refer to your vehicle's user manual for more information.
