How do I check the oil level on my BMW X5?

I recently purchased a BMW X5 and I want to make sure I am properly maintaining it. How can I check the oil level and what should I do if it's low?

To check the oil level on your BMW X5, you can use the oil dipstick located in the engine bay. Simply pull it out, wipe it clean, and then re-insert it. Pull it out again and check the oil level on the dipstick. If it's low, you can add more oil using the oil cap. Be careful not to overfill the engine.

I recommend checking your oil level every 1,000 miles or every month to ensure it is at the proper level. It's also a good idea to get your oil changed every 5,000 miles or as recommended by your car's manufacturer.

If your oil level is consistently low, it could be a sign of a bigger issue such as an oil leak. I suggest taking your BMW X5 to a certified mechanic for a thorough inspection to determine the cause of the low oil level.
