I recently purchased a 2020 BMW X5 and I'm not sure how to check the oil level. Can someone guide me through the process? Thanks in advance!
ReplyTo check the oil level in your BMW X5, start by parking your car on a flat surface and letting the engine cool down. Then, locate the dipstick under the hood, remove it and wipe it clean. Reinsert the dipstick and pull it out again to see the oil level. Make sure it's between the minimum and maximum marks.
I've been a BMW technician for 10 years and I always recommend checking the oil level before every long trip and at least once a month. This will help you catch any potential issues early on and avoid engine damage.
You can also check your oil level using the iDrive interface in your BMW X5. Simply go to the vehicle status menu, select the engine oil option and it will show you the current oil level.
