I recently changed the oil on my BMW Z4 and I need to reset the oil service light. Does anyone know how to do this?
ReplyTo reset the oil service light on your BMW Z4, you will need to follow these steps:
1. Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine.
2. Press and hold the odometer reset button until the service message appears.
3. Release the button and press it again to confirm the reset.
4. The oil service light should now be reset.
I have personally tried this on my own BMW Z4 and it worked perfectly. Hope this helps!
I had the same problem with my BMW Z4 and I couldn't figure it out at first. But after some research, I found out that you can simply disconnect the negative terminal of your car's battery for about 15 minutes and then reconnect it. This should reset the oil service light. Just be sure to reset your clock and radio presets afterwards.
I hope this helps.
You can also reset the oil service light on your BMW Z4 by using an OBD2 scanner. Just plug it in and follow the instructions to reset the light. This is a more convenient method if you have access to a scanner.
Best of luck!
